Abstract
Purpose: Prevention of peri‐implantitis is essential for the success of implant rehabilitation. Infection by periodontopathic bacteria is a major cause of peri‐implantitis. The aim of the present study was to identify the source of peri‐implant colonization by periodontopathic bacteria.
